Since it was founded in 1995, more than 35,000 students have passed through Pinnacle’s virtual doors. At any given time, more than 5,000 students are enrolled at Pinnacle Online High School or at one of its five high schools in Arizona. Here are just a few of their stories.

stin was looking for something that could fit his needs for advanced courses.  He needed to move faster; something that regular schools couldn’t offer him. When he started at Pinnacle, he had just come out of being home schooled for his entire life.  Justin had absolutely no high school credits, was sixteen at the time, and needed something that would allow him to go at his own speed.  With Pinnacle Online High School, Justin could go faster and get high school done and out of the way.

Before Erin Hodge became an eager, bright-eyed teenager, she was well accustomed to the whirlwind that goes with having to switch to a new school. She spent most of her childhood shuffling back and forth between several public and private schools in search of the best solution that fit her academic and personal needs. But when Erin was about to enter ninth grade, her mother approached her with some interesting news. Her mom was hired for a new job in Casa Grande, AZ and Erin would have to transfer to a new school, again.

Attending Pinnacle Online High School gave Kristina Taylor, 16, the ability to not only graduate early but the freedom to pursue her interests in acting and modeling. During the summer she has competed in the Miss Teen Arizona Pageant, and plans on attending college after high school.

As a star running back for Mountain Pointe High School, Davon Jones is quite familiar with making the right choice. From quickly hitting the hole, to being patient and following his blocks, Jones has many decisions to make underneath the Friday night lights.

But one of his biggest decisions wasn’t made on the field, and it had nothing to do with victory or defeat.

Sarah Turpin was looking an alternative way to finish her high school education, so she decided to leave her traditional high school and enroll at Pinnacle. Through determination and hard work, Sarah was able to complete her high school education online and graduate in December '09. Pinnacle Online High School gave Sarah the flexibility she needed to go to school while still maintaining her busy personal schedule.

When I attended my original high school, I was told that I was "too lazy" and to graduate early and they would not allow me to take my senior classes before my senior year. After that, I decided to leave my old school and take online courses at Pinnacle.
